This challenging mountain terrain also provides exciting activities for the more adventurous spirits &#8211; join Chris with Snow Valley Adventures &#8211; exciting dirt &amp; quad-bike trails on hundreds of kilometres of unhindered riding terrain, or breath-taking 4&#215;4 trails over spectacular mountain passes.<\/p>\n<p>Snow Valley has hosted the adventure-biking highlight, Rallye Raid, on numerous occasions, Wild Dog Biking Forum annual get-together and the Sea-to-Ski annual biking challenge. We are one of the overnight stops on the Wartrail Skywalk \u2013 a guided 4 day slack-packing hike in our Drakensberg mountains. We are ideally situated as a base for exploring the ever-popular 8 passes \u2013 10km from Lundeans Nek, 8km from Volunteershoek Pass, 29km from Carlisleshoek Pass, 50km from Rhodes and the start of Naudesnek Pass, 60km from Barkly Pass, 60km from Bastervoetpad and 80km from Joubert\u2019s Pass.<\/p>\n<p>A lovingly restored stone barn, Stable Cottage is the epitome of a mountain retreat. The delightful &amp; tastefully decorated cottage is fully equipped for self-catering with a kitchen \/ dining room, lounge, 1 double &amp; 1 twin bedroom and 1\u00bd bathrooms. The open fireplace and wall-mounted heaters add to the cosy atmosphere in winter when snow is often seen on the mountain peaks (and on the ground!) from the comfort of the lounge.
